My Friend Luke...

is so awesome. He is one of the few true writers and artists I've met out in the big bad world. Even with a full time job he produces more work in a week than I do in a month. This month he and Jenn Brothers, an amazing gal and amazing Kansas City and Lawrence-based photographer are getting married, and I'm telling you, they are a couple to reckon with--both in matters of art and love.

The Lottery

And I'm not talking Shirley Jackson here.
Sometimes I buy scratch off tickets out of boredom. Well, today I added up all my scratch off tickets and discovered I have 20 bucks just waiting for me--won off of "The Crossword" (difficulty level: advanced) and "Triple Cash" (difficulty level: beginner).
My plan is to go to the grocery store later this evening and get the 20, then buy 20 dollars worth of new scratch off tickets until I'm a hundredaire. Just kidding. I'm going to use the money to buy food and toilet paper because that's how desperate I am. I found all the tickets in books, being used as bookmarks.
